How does it work?
The Fontana stores, transports, and dispenses fresh water in a strong, easy to handle, food grade container. Like the Guardian, it may look like a simple cardboard box, but it is more than meets the eye. Each Fontana—which measures 48″ x 40″ x 46″, meaning it can fit in a standard pickup truck when assembled—can transport 275 gallons of clean water, which is roughly the equivalent of 2,082 bottles of water or 344 daily servings of water. The water is stored inside the 8-ply corrugated cardboard box in a replaceable bladder, making for convenient reuse. Further, the water is dispensed without venting the liner, keeping the drinking water safe from environmental contaminants.
If you were to transport 275 gallons of palletized bottled water, you would need a forklift and two pickup trucks; with the Fontana, you simply need two workers to prep and place one Fontana onto a pickup truck, where it can be filled within minutes with no heavy equipment.
Always Ready
In a natural disaster or other emergency, access to clean water is key. That is why we designed the Fontana: to ensure access to clean water with an always-ready solution. With the Fontana, there is no need to stock bulky bottled water—which has a shelf life. The Fontana’s small storage footprint allows for efficient storage of collapsed units, ready-to-go when the time comes.
Conveniently Reusable
The Fontana’s unique design makes it easy to collapse and store until needed again. In fact, when proper care and storage guidelines are followed, each Fontana can be reused over a dozen times due to the rugged eight-ply corrugated walls.
